This is the sibling’s contribution time. Vinay Chandra and Abhay Chandra sons of noted journalist Sureshchandra are out in the middle with novel subject, unique screenplay for ‘Java’. There are only five inside and two outside characters for this film that is in the production of Vachan Shetty and Veerendra Vidyavrath.


Senior journalist and actor in Kannada cinema Suresh Chandra pointing to his sons says they are his two eyes. My appeal is to protect their work. From childhood I have not come in their way. My cinema journalism for last 25 years,  they developed interest in this field in the later stages. Vinay leaving his job showed interest in music. He is now with his passionate younger brother Abhay for ‘Java’ mentioned Sureshchandra.


A film on ‘Java’ (death) revolves around five characters in the house and proceedings are narrated in one night. Vinay Chandra music director of quite a few films in Kannada has formed a company with musician Mohan Kumar and as elder brother I am now following my younger brother Abhay because he is the captain of the project pointed Vinay in his address. Vinay returns after two years to cinema. He is roping in Usha Utup for a song and tuning for three songs.


Abhay Chandra an MBA graduate is a great follower of his father from the days of Sureshchandra writing for ‘Pratibimba’ TV serial. He used to ape his father to certain extent. He is an avid film viewer. For cinema direction he worked in the camp of director Nandakishore. He has chosen Dilip Raj, Bhavani Prakash, Madan and two for five inside the house. Saikumar is playing catalyst. Abhay got a lesson from his elder brother to take up one work at a time very strongly.


Vachan Shetty of quite a few Malayalam films has liked the energy in the team. He is ready to invest on what the project demands. The majority of happening is in one house.


Cameraman Nandakumar explained that he has to play with shadow and light. Sounder Rajan is editing this film. His son and Abhay have grown together in life so far.


Bhavani Prakash has given up TV serials for big screen projects. She was seen last in ‘Ale’. Completed Urvi Kannada cinema and accepted this film on a condition that Abhay should sing in this film. I have a mysterious role to play. As a theatre artist I would not come to sets without preparations she says in her address.
